Mike is the founder of Verena Solutions and generated the initial design for a variety of dental infection control products currently under development, including the flagship SimpleCAP system. Prior to Verena, Mike worked in software development Red Prairie and engineering sales for Victaulic corporation with a focus on new product design and design efficiency. Additionally, Mike has spent some time in real estate investment with a focus on revitalizing Chicago-based properties. Mike has a degree in Computer Engineering from Marquette University and enjoys home brewing, home design/construction, and ranting about movie reboots.

Jeremy is a general dentist with a combined business background. He oversaw provider and clinical growth initiatives at Quip, the oral health, and subscription electric toothbrush company, and has since built out the Barchester Bay Group, a portfolio consisting of over 20 ventures. Jeremy also practices general dentistry part-time, sits on the Boards of healthcare and dental startups, and is an angel investor. Jeremy has a 15+ year proven track record with startups through several successful multi-million dollars fundraises and acquisitions.

Clement is a cosmetic and general dentist in private practice in New York City. He is responsible for the development of marketing strategies, promotion, and positioning of the products and services at Verena Solutions. He obtained his DDS from NYU College of Dentistry in 2019 and completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Clement also holds an MPH from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French, and is the youngest recipient of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry – Evy Rising Star Award. Aside from dentistry and healthcare startups, Clement is a dog dad and a foodie with a passion for travel.

Eric is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in private practice at Pulver Oral Surgery and Dental Implant care in Highland, Indiana. He graduated from the University of Toronto Dental School in 1989. He received his diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago in 1995. While remaining in private practice he has held teaching positions and at Northwestern Dental School, University of Chicago, and Indiana University. He has participated as an advisory and board member in a number of healthcare startups and has lectured extensively on various topics in dentistry and oral surgery. He is currently working on a number of projects and takes pride in supporting the dental field to embrace best practices and technology that enhance patient outcomes.

Michael is leading all engineering efforts, including the advancement of Verena’s product line as well as overseeing the execution of Verena's client-based projects. Michael has been developing novel products since graduating from MIT back in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Having heavily contributed to projects for clients in the medical industry, military field, and consumer space, he is constantly expanding his skill set and appetite for more knowledge. Outside of designing physical solutions, Michael enjoys spending time in the cinema, dabbling in music production, traveling the world with his wife, and discovering new recipes to try out in the kitchen.

Akshara is responsible for the management of Verena's FDA Quality System as well as existing manufacturing systems. Akshara graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2020 with a Bachelor's of Science in Bioengineering. Using her passion for technology and the medical industry she has worked on multiple projects focused on designing medical devices. Additionally, she has worked at a research lab for neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of work, Akshara enjoys painting and traveling.

Matt Beckmann is the founder of Ascent Consultants, an independent business advisory & executive coaching firm that has advised Verena on operational and sales-related activities. Matt received his BA from Rhodes College, and his JD & MBA from St. Louis University. Prior to founding Ascent, Matt held executive roles with the Schweich for Auditor campaign and the Missouri State Auditor's Office, and also served as Vice President & General Counsel for Trident Steel Corporation.
